This winter I agreed to help out a grad student, by the name of Juia Feld, with the long process of creating pieces for her MFA show in the spring. Julia has been experimenting with making molds of soft objects. The objects she chose to work with are teddy bears. She has been showing me the process of making molds from the entire bear and making molds of the pieces and parts. Some of the work is shown above. It is harder than it looks to keep those things from falling apart during the casting process, but we have probably turned out about 10 bears so far.
